After the second week of the regular season, all the teams have now hit the court and the Christmas turkey is being worn off. It appears as though the Olds Women stayed in top form over the Christmas season, as both teams are off to a victorious start. On the Men's side, there have been some very close and exciting matches, including a buzzer-beater victory for Olds 1 over STMU. The Prairie Pilots have already made the long trek out to Saskatchewan to compete against one of our two Saskatchewan ACAL representative schools, Great Plains College, where on the women's side they were victorious and on the men's side they earned a split. With the results coming in, it looks like an exciting year of Basketball ahead. See the results, standings, and scoring leaders in the drop down menu's at the top of the web page!

President Takes Opportunity Overseas |

The ACAL would like to congratulate David Petroziello, Alberta Colleges Athletic League President and Director of Athletics at St. Mary's University College, who has recently taken on an opportunity in a Professional Basketball league in Australia. Unfortunately this means that he will be stepping down as President of the ACAL, but the league wishes him and his family all the best in his new endeavors! |
